Is Drate really free?

Yes. You can build your site, publish content and sell memberships without paying anything up front. On the Free plan we take a 5% platform fee on the memberships you sell. If you’d rather pay a flat monthly price and keep every sale, switch to Pro.

What exactly do you take?

Free: 5% of each membership sale. Pro: nothing, just the subscription. Stripe charges its standard payment processing fee on both plans; that goes to Stripe, not us.

How do I get paid?

You connect your own Stripe account, so members pay you directly and payouts follow your Stripe schedule. Drate never holds your money.

I’m already on Patreon. Do I have to move everyone?

No. Connect Patreon and map your tiers to Drate memberships, and your patrons get access to your site right away. Add direct Stripe memberships alongside whenever you’re ready.

Can I use my own domain?

Yes. Point a domain you already own at Drate, or buy a new one right inside Drate and it’s connected for you.

Who owns my audience and content?

You do. Your content, your members and your payments stay yours, and your site lives on your own domain.

What can I sell?

Anything. Ecommerce, coaching, gaming, everything. If you made it and people want it, it sells on your site.
